How Crescendo Worldwide Facilitated the India-Italy Joint Venture Between Abhijeet Dies & Tools and INEVO

In September 2026, Abhijeet Dies & Tools Pvt. Ltd. of India and INEVO S.r.l. of Italy formally signed Abhinevo Technologies Private Limited, a joint venture built to bring advanced mould, tooling and multi-material technology into India's automotive supply chain. Crescendo Worldwide facilitated the partnership from the first search for a technology partner through to the signing.

This case study sets out how an established Indian toolmaker went from exploring international technology partners to an industrial joint venture in roughly eighteen months, what Crescendo Worldwide did at each stage, and what other manufacturers weighing a cross-border partnership can take from it.

The goal: technology-led manufacturing, closer to Indian customers

Abhijeet's capabilities span injection and blow mould design and manufacturing, injection moulding, automotive plastic components, assembly, tool trials, validation and industrialisation support. Its leadership described the next step as technology-led manufacturing: building advanced capability in India that serves Indian and global customers.

That goal pointed to a familiar question for manufacturers moving up the technology curve. Build the capability slowly in-house, or partner with a company that already has it? Abhijeet chose to look for an international technology partner, and brought in Crescendo Worldwide to run that search.

What Crescendo Worldwide did, step by step

  1. Identified and engaged potential technology partners. From early 2025, Crescendo Worldwide worked with Abhijeet to find international companies that could bring complementary technology.
  2. Held discussions with several prospects on Abhijeet's behalf. Talking to more than one company kept the search comparative rather than built around a single introduction.
  3. Arranged introductions and coordinated visits and meetings. Face-to-face engagement gave both sides a chance to assess capability, culture and fit.
  4. Supported the evaluation. Crescendo Worldwide helped Abhijeet assess and develop the collaboration with INEVO as it took shape.
  5. Facilitated the MoU. The introduction to INEVO led to a Memorandum of Understanding signed in India in June 2025.
  6. Moved from MoU to joint venture. The collaboration progressed to Abhinevo Technologies Private Limited, formally signed in Pune in September 2026, with the Italian Trade Agency in New Delhi joining the ceremony virtually.

Technology focus and where it applies

The venture's initial focus covers 2K and multi-component mould technology (3K and 4K moulding are also cited in the launch announcement), alongside surface and finishing technologies for plastic parts. The announced technology areas include:

  • In-mould decoration (IMD) and in-mould labelling (IML).
  • PUR-based advanced surface technologies and in-mould coating.
  • Functional and decorative film integration.
  • Advanced mould engineering, process simulation and optimisation.

These support applications such as automotive interiors and exteriors, decorative and functional components, and smart surfaces. Depending on the part, the processes can allow greater design flexibility, better surface quality and fewer secondary operations.

Why the partnership matters for India's automotive ecosystem

The partners aim to localise sophisticated manufacturing technology step by step and build one integrated capability across the value chain, from product and process engineering and tool design through manufacture, trials, validation and production support. For Indian OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, the expected benefits are shorter development cycles, faster trials and modifications, and closer access to globally benchmarked tooling.

INEVO's leadership has said India is gaining weight in global automotive manufacturing, and that customers want more localisation without giving up technology or quality. One of Abhijeet's directors described the partnership as one built on "trust, teamwork and mutual respect".

Five lessons for manufacturers seeking an international technology partner

  1. Compare before you commit. Speaking with several prospects before choosing gives you leverage and a clearer view of fit.
  2. Meet in person early. Visits and joint meetings test capability and culture in ways documents cannot.
  3. Commit in stages. An MoU in June 2025 and a joint venture in September 2026 gave both sides time to build confidence.
  4. Define the scope by technology and value chain. Naming the technologies and the stages the venture will cover reduces ambiguity later.
  5. Bring in the right institutions. Trade bodies such as the Italian Trade Agency add credibility and a link to the home market.

These lessons reflect Crescendo Worldwide's perspective on the engagement; the decisions on the venture's structure and scope were made by the partners.

Frequently asked questions

Abhinevo Technologies Private Limited is a joint venture between Abhijeet Dies & Tools Pvt. Ltd. of India and INEVO S.r.l. of Italy. It develops, engineers, manufactures and commercialises advanced moulds, tooling and manufacturing technology, initially for the automotive and plastics-processing industries, and was formally signed in Pune in September 2026.
Crescendo Worldwide worked with Abhijeet from early 2025 to identify and engage international technology partners, held discussions with several prospects on its behalf, arranged introductions, coordinated visits and meetings, and supported the evaluation. It then facilitated the MoU with INEVO in June 2025 and the progression to the joint venture.
Start by defining the technology or capability you want to access, then build a shortlist of overseas companies that already have it and engage several in parallel. Use visits and meetings to test fit, and agree a staged structure, such as an MoU before a joint venture. An experienced international business adviser can run the search and introductions.
It varies by sector and partner. In this case, the partner search began in early 2025, an MoU followed in June 2025, and the joint venture was formally signed in September 2026, around fifteen months after the MoU.
The initial focus includes 2K and multi-component mould technology, PUR-based advanced surface technologies, in-mould decoration and labelling, in-mould coating, functional and decorative film integration, advanced mould engineering, and process simulation and optimisation, for applications such as automotive interiors, exteriors and smart surfaces.
